I have seen many foreigners falling in love with Nepali culture, customs, and traditions. This inclined their interest in learning the Nepali language. But many of them left that interest in between because of the lack of information. Here, I have collected information from a different source. I believe; this information will help everyone, who is looking after to apply for a student visa in Nepal, particularly for the Nepali language.  Believe me getting a student visa in Nepal isn’t that hard; you just have to follow every process correctly.

There are a few institutions like Bishwo Bhasa Campus and Language Hub Nepal, which are providing student visas for anyone interested to study the Nepali language.

What are the documents required to apply for the student visa in Nepal?

  • Offer letter from the campus; where you intend to study.
  • Copies of Passport and latest Nepali visa. If you have dependents, you need to submit copies of their Passport and visas.
  • Copies of Birth certificate of children’s; if you are applying with them.
  • Copies of Marriage Certificate, just in case you are applying with your wife.
  • Open a Bank account and provide copies of Bank statements with sufficient funds.

With these documents, you will now pay tuition fees to the concerned institution. They will then process your application and obtain a letter from the Ministry of Education, Nepal. It will not take that long to get a letter from the Ministry. The institution will take care of all this and you will be notified when the letter arrived.  The institution will also guide you through out your visa application; therefore you don’t need to worry about it.

Once you got that letter, you need to visit the Department of Immigration, Kathmandu with the passport and photos of everyone, who is part of your student visas. You also need to take all the copies of supporting documents with you. At the immigration office, you are supposed to fill the application form, submit all those documents and pay the visa charge. You have to pay in cash there.

The Immigration office then process visa on the same day but some time because of time constraints, you might have to visit the next day.
