Even, the lifestyle is not rush compared to cities. Everybody has time to talk and smile to one another.  They are so compassionate to each other; might be this is the reason why there is a strong community in the countryside. Whoever visits there are welcomed with heartwarming gestures, which makes anyone feel like the native locals, their family.

Do you know, countryside people consume organic food a lot? They grow food by themselves, and the good thing is, they don’t use chemical fertilizers on them.  I have seen many families working together on a farm using ancient way of farming and produces a food, which is so fascinating. That is why every kitchen in countryside prepares food direct from the farm every day.

Going through these we can realize; the value of countryside is so appealing and with no doubt the Nepal’s countryside can be the best source for mental health retreats.

Realizing this scenario, many travelers either domestic or international are taking a time to visit such villages.  Yoga, Meditation are being conducted occasionally in many villages, which I found successful, and that program has a good retention rate as well. Most of the college/university students are now shifting their interest towards village travel. The number of students traveling villages is on the increasing trend. Recently, I met one of the groups from abroad exploring Pamdur and I was so excited seeing these.

While interacting with them, I noticed one thing in common and that is their love towards homestay. Homestay is a form of accommodation that allows travelers to stay with local families. This opportunity connects two parties host and travelers directly; where travelers feel a sense of belonging and learn about culture, tradition, lifestyle and others.
